Posted a brief review on the Nerf Super Soaker Fortnite HC-E water blaster. This trigger-based water blaster doesn’t pack much power, really being equivalent to other small squirt blasters.
Really targeting fans of the Fortnite video game, not much value in terms of its soaking capabilities. Check out the review to read more details.

Happy First Day of Summer, 2019!
For me, it’s been actually one of the first days since the start of the year that it’s actually felt like summer. Alas, also like things have been for me since the start of the year, finding time to test and review the latest water blasters has been few and far between. I did recently pick up a couple of the Nerf Fortnite Super Soaker water blasters (specifically, the HC-E and R1; haven’t gotten the TS-R, yet). Unfortunately, haven’t had a chance to take pictures, let alone measure any statistics on either of them.
I also acknowledge that I’m behind on iSoaker.com reviews, notably for the Nerf Super Soaker Hydra and Nerf Super Soaker Piranha. I hope to get at least one review up by end of next week, but life keeps on dropping surprises on me so only time will tell.
Granted, this warm weather is inspiring me to want to go out and do some field testing using some of these new water blasters on friends and family. Hope others are making better use of the weather than I’ve managed to do, thusfar.

Seems like news on upcoming Nerf Super Soaker models can be discovered a little earlier every year.

The Hydra appears to be an inverted Nerf Super Soaker SoakZooka while the Piranha is a trigger-based water blaster. No image is available for the Barracuda, but from its description, it has two stacked barrels that blast (continuously?) while pumping. Images and information obtained from Entertainment Earth.

Found pictures of the upcoming 2018 Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Ripstorm from this website.
This design reminds me of the Super Soaker Hydro Blade (2004). However, unlike the Hydro Blade, I do not believe that the Ripstorm is a pressurized water blaster. How well it functions in stream or “shred” mode remains to be seen.
Update: Just realized the Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Ripstorm is already available for sale on Amazon.com.

Here, we reveal a possible image of a prototype NextGen Nerf Super Soaker. Based on the popularity of the 2018 Nerf Super Soaker Splashmouth water gun model, Hasbro may be developing a new series under the “CPS” moniker.

I can’t say I’ve done much testing on this water blaster beyond loading it and pumping it a handful of times, but I suppose the most surprising thing about the Nerf Super Soaker Splashmouth is that they (Hasbro) would even think this would be a good idea in the first place!
Just when I thought a pump-action water blaster couldn’t get worse. The pump, itself, actually seems to function decently for a pump-action blaster, but the large top cap does not seal tightly (no surprise) and the “splash” attack has limited range (a bucket would be better) and does a great job at disarming the user as well.
I believe the three words sum up the Nerf Super Soaker Splashmouth best are: What. The. Heck?
Stats to be measured, but I’m not particularly inspired by this water blaster.
A clearer image of the upcoming 2018 Nerf Super Soaker Twin Tide was found on this website.
As expected, the Twin Tide appears to be a standard pump-action water blaster featuring over-under dual nozzle configuration. The newer Nerf Super Soaker models seem to be using their handle/trip regions as part of their reservoir and can do so easily since they have no trigger or other more complex internals in that region of the blaster’s body. As both nozzles are powered by the same pump, taking its apparent size into consideration, either the nozzles will be slightly smaller than usual in order to maintain functional stream range. Time and testing will tell. More information to be posted as it becomes available.
